Add fill-in-the-blank fields to a template

Open the template from Documents, then tap + Add field.

Each field has a few parts. Tag is the internal name, written like cancellation_policy. Label is what you see when filling it in, like "Cancellation policy". Help text is optional and worth using for anything you will not remember in six months, for example a note that two to four weeks before a wedding is typical.

If a field should be a pick list rather than free typing, use Add choice to add each option.

The preview on the right updates as you type, and says "Your document will show here as you type." If a template has no blanks yet it says "No fill-in-the-blank fields yet."

Save changes when you are done.
