Can clients tip on a card at checkout?

Cash tipping has been sliding for years, and a client who never carries cash cannot tip you even if they want to. Adding a tip prompt to the card checkout closes that gap, letting the client add a percentage or a set amount right when they pay.

The setup is usually a prompt with a few preset percentages plus a custom amount option, shown right after the service total, before the client signs off on the charge.

Card tips also land in your records automatically, which matters at tax time compared to cash that may or may not get logged.

Turbo Link includes tips at checkout as part of its payment processing, at 2.9 percent plus 15 cents per transaction, so the tip and the service charge move through the same simple flow.
