What is the difference between flash and custom pricing?

Flash tattoos are pre-drawn designs the artist already has ready, often displayed on a wall or sheet. Because the design work is already done and the piece is a known size and complexity, flash is usually priced as a flat rate per design.

Custom work starts from a blank page. The artist has to design the piece with the client, which takes time before the needle ever touches skin, so custom pricing is typically hourly or estimated by session, since the final size and detail are not fixed in advance.

Some shops run a hybrid, charging a flat design fee up front for custom work and then an hourly or per-session rate for the tattooing itself.

Turbo Link supports both flash and hourly pricing, along with projects for multi-session custom work, so a shop is not forced into one pricing model for every client.
