What is a fair no-show fee for a barber?

A haircut appointment is usually 15 to 45 minutes, which does not leave much room to fill a last minute gap. That is why a lot of barbers charge close to the full service price for a no-show, rather than a partial fee.

Some shops soften this with tiers: a smaller fee for a late cancellation with some notice, and the full price only for a true no-show or a same-day cancellation. Either way, the number should be something you can say out loud to a client without hesitating.
